Sand & Gravel

When you are building something that has to stay put — a paver patio, a walkway, a shed pad, a fire pit — it is only as good as the base under it. Sand and gravel are the unglamorous layers that do that work, and getting them right is the difference between a project that holds and one that heaves after a Utah winter.

We stock road base that compacts into a solid foundation, drainage gravel for French drains and downspout runoff, and bedding and paver sand for setting and leveling. For most hardscape jobs you will want a compacted gravel base topped with a thin sand setting layer.

Sand and gravel are sold by the cubic yard and are heavy, so delivery is usually worth it. Use the calculator on each product page to estimate quantities, then pick up in Draper or schedule a drop-off.
